We’ll see some rain early this week followed by mild weather heading into the weekend. Let’s break it down…
Nerdy Disco: A coastal low will ride up the east coast just offshore between now and Tuesday evening. This should bring about .25-.75″ of precipitation when all is said and done. The bigger story might be some minor coastal flooding given the full supermoon proximity and E wind component to the N of the low. Regardless, it’s out of here by Wednesday as high pressure builds into the region to close out the week. We should see more northerly flow ahead of this high which should keep it cooler mid-week. By the time the weekend rolls around, the winds should subside with mild conditions. The next cold shot is expected this Sunday as a cold front pushes through ahead of a deepening longwave trough which looks to last well into Thanksgiving week.

Monday (Nov 14) high temperatures should reach the lower-60s statewide. Skies should start partly cloudy and gradually increase in coverage heading into the evening. Winds should be light out of the S/SW. Overnight lows should fall into the 30s and 40s as rain approaches. Minor coastal flooding is possible overnight into Tuesday.
Tuesday (Nov 15) high temperatures should just reach into the 50s statewide. Skies should be mostly cloudy with rain likely. Winds should be breezy with variable direction. Onshore flow should transition to N/NW winds as the low moves up the coast. The best chance for minor coastal flooding is earlier in the morning. Overnight lows should again fall into the 30s and 40s.
Wednesday (Nov 16) high temperatures should reach about 60 statewide. Skies should feature a mixed-bag of sun and clouds. Winds should be light out of the W/NW. Overnight lows should fall into the 40s for most.
Thursday (Nov 17) high temperatures should again reach about 60 statewide. Skies should be partly sunny. Winds should be light out of the NW. Overnight lows should fall into the 30s and 40s.
Friday (Nov 18) high temperatures should reach well into the 60s for likely the best day of the week. Skies should be mostly sunny. Winds should be light out of the W/SW. Overnight lows should again fall into the 30s and 40s.
An early look at the weekend indicates another nice day on Saturday (like Friday) followed by another cold shot from Sunday well into Thanksgiving week. We’re talking highs struggling to break 50 during the day and overnight lows well below-freezing. No snow in sight just yet but we’re getting closer every day. Have a great week and please be safe!
