We’re looking at a mixed bag of normal mid-summer weather in New Jersey this week. Let’s break each day down:
Monday high temperatures should reach the mid-80s. There will be lengthy periods of sun with noticeable humidity but isolated-to-scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible all day. Winds should be light out of the S/SW. Overnight lows should drop to about 70 for most of New Jersey (60s for NNJ elevations) as rain and storm chances persist through sunrise on Tuesday.
Tuesday high temperatures should reach 90 in many interior locations. The coast might be held to the 80s. Skies should be mostly sunny with noticeable humidity. Winds should be near-stationary with an occasional breeze out of the S and W. Overnight lows should fall into the lower-70s for most of New Jersey (60s for NNJ elevations).
Wednesday should reach upper-80s (coast) and lower-90s (interior) for high temperatures. Skies should be mostly sunny with continued humidity. Winds should be light-to-breezy out of the W/SW. Overnight lows should stay just above 70 statewide.
Thursday highs should break 90 for most of New Jersey. There will be periods of sun with noticeable humidity but isolated-to-scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible the entire day. Winds should be breezy-to-gusty out of the SW. Overnight lows should fall into the lower-70s for most of New Jersey (60s for NNJ elevations).
Friday should reach the mid-80s for high temperatures. Perhaps a few interior locations will flirt with 90 but humidity will be noticeably reduced with mostly sunny skies. Winds should be light out of the NW. Overnight lows should fall into the 60s statewide.
An early look at the weekend indicates a continuation of NW flow and beautiful weather, at least for Saturday. Sunday is a bit far out but as of now it looks like humidity and rain/storm chances could return.
