The worst day of the week is looking like Thursday. Other than that, we’re looking okay with mild daytime temperatures and colder nights—weather typical for fall beginning its transition into winter. We currently have high pressure situated overhead but a frontal passage is what should bring rain and wind later in the week.
Monday (Nov 16) high temperatures should reach the low-to-mid 60s statewide. Skies should be mostly sunny. Winds should be breezy out of the W/NW. Overnight lows should range from 20s for NNJ elevations to mid-40s along the coast.
Tuesday (Nov 17) high temperatures should reach the mid-to-upper 40s for NNJ elevations and 50s for the rest of New Jersey. Skies should be mostly sunny with a few clouds here and there. Winds should be light out of the E/NE. Overnight lows should range from 20s in NNJ elevations to 40s for the rest of New Jersey.
Wednesday (Nov 18) high temperatures should reach the upper-50s/lower-60s statewide. Skies should feature a mixed bag of sun and clouds. Winds should be breezy out of the SE. Overnight low should range from low-to-mid 50s statewide as we’re placed in the warm sector ahead of an approaching front.
Thursday (Nov 19) high temperatures should reach the low-to-mid 60s statewide. Skies should be mostly cloudy with moderate-to-heavy rain possible. Winds should be breezy-to-gusty out of the S/SE. Overnight low should range from low-to-mid 40s statewide.
Friday (Nov 20) high temperatures should reach the mid-to-upper 50s. Skies should feature a mixed bag of sun and clouds. Winds should be light-to-moderate out of the NW. Overnight lows should range from the lower-30s for NNJ elevations to mid-40s along the coast.
An early look at the weekend indicates pretty uneventful weather. Dry conditions are expected with seasonably average temperatures. Jury is out on sun vs. clouds.
