Mild & Breezy Weekend Expected (April 3-5)
Once the rainy disturbance departs our region tomorrow morning, the rest of the weekend looks relatively mild and breezy with high pressure to our south having control. Let’s look at each day:
Friday should remain mild with high temperatures fluctuating in the 60s statewide. Skies should be mostly overcast with on-and-off periods of rainfall. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible, especially for SNJ. Rainfall is expected to last into Saturday morning. Winds should remain stiff out of the SW into overnight hours when temperatures bottom out around 50.
Saturday should start wet but eventually dry out with afternoon highs topping out in the low-to-mid 50s. Rainfall is expected to end by noon. We should see the sun before it sets. Once the front is through, winds will become stiff out of the NW with gusts to 35mph. Overnight lows then drop and hover around freezing under a starry moon-lit sky.
Sunday looks like the best day of the weekend with highs ranging from 55-60. Skies should be mostly sunny. Expect 10-15mph winds (gusts to 30mph) out of the W/SW. Overnight lows then drop into the upper 30s (NWNJ) and lower 40s (SENJ).
An early look at next week indicates more mild temperatures and a decent amount of rainfall.
