Winter alerts for one county will now cost you a one-time fee of $12.49. Winter alerts for two counties will now cost you a one-time fee of $17.49. This service runs until March 31 (or last snow – even if into April). Therefore, with 10 weeks left until March 31, the service will cost you $1.24 per week for one county or $1.79 per week for two counties if you order right now.

Each county is broken down into unique climatological areas. Example 1: Pine Barrens of interior Ocean County are typically different from coast. Example 2: NW Passaic County has higher elevations than the Passaic/Bergen Border. We take these climatological factors into consideration when delivering you our forecasts and thoughts.

Tailored for those who want early warnings for any winter weather system moving into their specific county during the months of winter only. Customers get advanced notice of:

• Winter Storms (greater then 3″) – Up to 4 days’ notice with daily updates thereafter leading up to the storm, and updates with any changes to previous text forecasts as needed during the storm until storm passes
• Light snow (less than 3″) –  2 days’ notice with daily updates thereafter leading up to the storm, and updates with any changes to previous text forecasts as needed during the storm until storm passes
• Heavy Rain – Up to 2 days’ notice of rain totaling over .50” within a 12 hour period
• Ice Conditions – Any threat of ice
• Snow Consistency – Wet vs. dry/powdery
• Specific timing for your area, including start/end times, and changeover times to other forms of precip, if applicable
• Wind – 1 day notice for wind gusts 40mph or greater
• Lightning – Real-time alerts (includes thundersnow)
