Great Conditions. Humidity Returns by Monday.

Discussion: The E side of a ridge will hold our pleasant feel in place a little longer but as the E side of a trough approaches, humidity will gradually build between Friday and Sunday night—setting the stage for a humid next week with temps in the 80s. We had a good run but this weekend will not be unbearable…a little more humidity each day. The next rain I see is from a few disturbances pushing in from the N Monday and Wednesday on the W side of the approaching trough. Otherwise next week looks summery but not oppressively hot.

Friday (Aug 23) high temperatures are maxing in the upper-70s/lower-80s for most NJ locations. Skies should remain clear. Winds are light out of the W. Overnight lows should range from 50-60 from NNJ elevations to SNJ coasts.

Saturday (Aug 24) high temperatures should reach into the 80s with slightly more humidity than what we’ve gotten used to. Skies should be mostly sunny. Winds should be light out of the SW. Overnight lows should range from 55-65 from NNJ elevations to SNJ coasts.

Sunday (Aug 25) high temperatures should reach into the 80s again with a little more humidity than Saturday. Skies should be mixed with sun and clouds. Winds should be light out of the SW. Overnight lows should range from 50-60 from NNJ elevations to SNJ coasts as humidity continues to increase.

An early look at next week (Aug 26-Aug 27) indicates humid 80s with isolated/scattered thunderstorms returning at times. Will have a much better idea Sunday/Monday with the weekly outlook. Have a great weekend and please be safe! JC
