It doesn’t get much better than this for a summer weekend! Just one caveat to mention but otherwise, a gorgeous weekend is expected. Let’s break it down:
Friday should reach the low-to-mid 80s for high temperatures. Skies should feature plenty of sunshine with just a few clouds here and there. The reduction in humidity should be noticeable. Winds should be 10-15mph out of the NW with gusts to 20mph. Overnight lows should drop into the 60s for most and possibly even the 50s for NWNJ. Ocean temps could keep coastal areas hovering around 70 through sunrise.
Saturday should reach the mid-to-upper 80s for high temperatures. Skies should be mostly sunny with continued reduced humidity. That should make for a pleasant feel. Winds should be near-stationary with maybe a 5mph breeze in any direction. Overnight lows should fall into the 60s statewide.
Sunday should reach the mid-to-upper 80s statewide with possibly 90 broken inland. Skies should be mostly sunny but humidity will likely return. With that said, instability could build a layer of cumulus clouds by afternoon hours that will mostly likely dissolve through sunset once solar heating is lost. Should any of these cumulus clouds build high enough then an isolated shower or baby t-storm could form underneath. That’s the only caveat for the weekend and I’ll only give that a super small chance of happening. The better bet for Sunday is a nice, sunny and hot summer day. Extremely light winds will again vary in any direction. Overnight lows should fall into the 60s for most with coastal areas remaining just above 70.
An early look at next week indicates a nice start with storms returning by mid-week.
