Click the “Buy Kaboom Hoodie” button below to purchase.
In addition, I’d like to introduce you to our hoodie models, Ashley Nicole and Ben Wurst, two extremely talented individuals from New Jersey.
.
“I first had interest in modeling at 12, but didn’t start until 2010. As a kid I always played dress up, and also Halloween is my favorite holiday because I get to dress up, so I really enjoy being different for the day and wearing things I don’t normally wear. Also because of my love for photography, it’s rewarding for me to have nice pictures of myself because I appreciate the artistic aspect of it.”
Ashley only recently began recording herself singing. Before that it only happened “in the car, in the house when no one is home, etc.” After developing the courage to make a few YouTube demos, her friends and family convinced her to push on. Her first EP has just been officially released and is now available on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon:
.
I first noticed Ashley from several modeling pics floating around Instagram. I then saw a photo shoot that Chris Speigel from Blur Revision Media Design did of her in Asbury Park and thought she would be perfect for the Kaboom hoodie campaign. After inquiring about her modeling services, she informed me that she follows Weather NJ and that I’ve actually been very helpful to her in the past. With that said, we were delighted to work together. You can follow her (highly recommended) on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
Ben Wurst is an absolute staple in NJ environmental conservation. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Wildlife Conservation from Unity College, he’s currently a Habitat Program Manager at the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ. You might be familiar with his NJ Osprey Project efforts where he tags, monitors and builds wooden platforms—an effort with a solid footprint in increasing NJ Osprey population. This past summer, my wife and I had the opportunity to help Ben in a beach cleanup, one of many efforts that defines his character.
.
Ben is also a master woodworker for his entrepreneurship venture Reclaimed where he uses 100% salvaged wood and materials to produce his goods. He aims to “rethink waste to reduce our impact on the environment.” My wife and I have his custom frames and a beautiful reclaimed farmhouse table.
At the end of the day, we enjoyed hanging out and shooting this Kaboom hoodie campaign. It was a beautiful day with well-above average temperatures and lots of sweet golden hour afternoon sunlight. Perfect December hoodie weather! So go ahead and order for yourself or someone else to enjoy during the upcoming colder months of the year. A portion of all profits will be put towards the organization Ben works for, the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey. For size reference, Ashley is 5’7” wearing a medium and Ben is 5’8” wearing a large. Again, the TeeSpring campaign will stay open from now until 11PM next Tuesday, December 15 which is to allow enough time for holiday shipping.
