Tropical Storm Arthur has intensified to just below Category 1 hurricane strength. OBX should be on high alert as Category 2 has not been taken off the table per model guidance. I don’t see any reason why it wont continue to strengthen over the next 48 hours before possible landfall in eastern NC.
The good news is that he will miss NJ completely out to sea. We simply need to get through the stormy/rainy period tonight through Friday afternoon. Mid-summer bliss weather is on tap for Saturday and Sunday and who knows, maybe even Friday night. Be safe! JC
