Cool and Dry Weekend Expected (April 24-26)
A cool and dry air mass will be locked in-place over the weekend but a strong sun angle will make it bearable at the surface. Let’s look at each day:
Friday high temperatures should range from lower-50s (NWNJ) to upper-50s (SENJ). Skies should be mostly sunny with a few high-altitude friendly clouds. Expect 10-15 mph NW winds with gusts to 25mph. Overnight lows should fall into the upper-20s (NWNJ) and lower-30s (SENJ). Cover plants that need to be covered!
Saturday high temperatures should just break 60 for most of the state. Skies should be mostly sunny. Winds should be relaxed and light out of the W/NW. Overnight lows should dip into the 30s (NWNJ) and 40s (rest of NJ).
Sunday high temperatures should range from upper-50s (NWNJ) to mid-60s (SENJ). Skies should be mostly sunny. Winds should be light out of the N/NW. Overnight lows should dip into the 30s (NWNJ) and 40s (rest of NJ).
An early look at next week indicates more of the same with an overall slightly cooler-than average end to April.
