Mild Week with Rain Expected (Mar 23-27)

Today should be the chilliest day of the week but we’ll gradually warm into the 60s by Thursday. That’s going to come with some rain so lets break it down:

Monday should reach the upper 30s in NWNJ and lower 40s in SENJ. Skies will be mostly sunny with light N/NW winds. Overnight lows should drop into the 20s statewide (possibly teens for NWNJ elevations).

Tuesday should reach into the 40s statewide for high temperatures. Skies will be mostly sunny with light N winds. Overnight lows should drop into the 20s statewide. Very similar to Monday just a few degrees warmer.

Wednesday will feel noticeably more mild with temperatures well into the 50s. Clouds should gradually increase with Spring showers possible, especially in the afternoon. Winds should be light out of the S/SE. Overnight lows will only dip into the 40s statewide.

Thursday should reach well into the 60s statewide. Expect rain showers and possibly thunderstorms throughout the day. Winds should be breezy out of the SW. Overnight lows will then dip back into the 40s.

Friday should reach the upper 40s in NWNJ and low-to-mid 50s for SENJ during afternoon hours. Skies should gradually clear  from morning through afternoon.  Winds shuld be breezy out of the NW. Overnight lows should then drop into the 30s.

I’m watching a potential low pressure disturbance this weekend that could bring anything from just rain to possibly wintry precipitation for interior elevations. Will have to monitor as we further approach.
